Todd Moore (1937–2010) was an American poet associated with outlaw, Beat, and independent small-press poetry. Raised in difficult circumstances in Illinois, he worked as a teacher and librarian before settling in New Mexico. His many books include Dillinger: Book II, The Corpse Is Dreaming, Working on My Duende, Meat, and Russian Roulette. Moore developed an intense, stripped-down poetry of violence, crime, American mythology, and mortality, particularly through his lifelong fascination with outlaw John Dillinger.

The Clown

Lucero has been widely published in the small press world since the late ’80s. Many of the poems from his early chapbooks can be found in The Living Party, Selected Earlier Poems 1989–2019 (Chiron Review Books). His long poem, The Clown (Chiron Review Books), received praise from artists worldwide and was the inspiration for the feature film, Halo of Stars, which he also directed. His intimate 2009 offering, dear little missy, was recently reimagined in collaboration with photographer Massimo Leardini and is now available through Putzina Press.
